Entry #4: A Salty Decoration

I’m sure everyone has heard of Himalayan salt. It's those small, sparkly pink granules almost resembling crystals that you can grind up and sprinkle on your favorite dishes. Oftentimes, it also comes pre-ground and looks like pink sand. However, culinary usage is not the only purpose this salt has. Surprisingly enough, it has become one of the most sought after home decorations!

When it comes to home decor, Himalayan salt comes in many different forms. Normally, it appears in large chunks and is attached to a light bulb that can be plugged in. The most common form is just a very large piece of Himalayan salt. The unevenness of it creates a more natural and eclectic look, and it goes perfectly with a boho style interior.

Other times, it takes on a more sophisticated look in thr shape of a perfectly round sphere. Another possibility on the market. Is that of a small bowl full of Himalayan salt rocks, in either their natural shape or a sphere shape. These ones light up when plugged in exactly like the aforementioned styles.

The best part about these lamps, and in my opinion what makes them so appealing, is that they give off a beautiful dim glow, akin to candlelight. Salt lamps can go with any interior decor, and can fit in any room. Personally, I'd say they go best in a boho styled room, but they can look great when paired up with a more modern and simple room design as well.

The warm and dim glow is perfect for anyone like me who needs a little bit of light in order to fall asleep. Ever since I got my first salt lamp, I've never been without one. These gorgeous, glowing lamps can truly fit anywhere and add a touch of magic to your home.
